the death of a fictional character
Feb. 14th, 2013 08:01 pmA bit ago, there was a thing floating around my end of tumblr that said, "Reblog if you've ever cried over the death of a fictional character."
... Which. What? Are there people who haven't?
Have you never not cried over the death of a fictional character? Do you know anyone who hasn't?
Hell, I've cried over characters that I didn't even care about.
I think the worst one (so far) has been Warrick's death (CSI). I cried so so fucking much over his. And whenever they mention him on the show, even if it's just, 'I once had a partner...' I cry.
Every. Single. Time.
So. If you have ever cried because a fictional character died - Who was the worst for you?

Date: 2013-02-15 07:56 pm (UTC)Ugh. I was sloppy hysterical when Bobby died (the first time--not the ghost) there were vows of "Never again!" and "I'm so done!" made. Clearly I didn't keep them, but I still can't think of Bobby without getting wibbly.
I cried when Dobby and Dumbledore died in the book.
I sobbed for days at random points over Songmaster. First book that I was nearly inconsolable over.
When Charlie drowned in LOST.
"I am a leaf on the wind." Motherfucking Wash. God.
Um. I NEVER watch movies/read books that have animals as the main characters because I'll fucking fall apart.
There are probably others, but these are the ones that stick with me.
