*facepalm* It's not L'Oreal, it's CoverGirl *fails at makeup* LOL
I learned some good things reading everyone else's comments, I wonder if I should maybe try a foundation primer.. but I only usually wear powder, and I'm not that fussy if it comes off. I dunno.
1. I usually use the Great Lash mascara by Maybelline (the one with the pink bottle and green top), but I recently bought something called Lash Stiletto Voluptuous by Maybelline and I actually like it better. The wand is different from the Great Lash one. It's like... messier and spikier-looking or something. But it does a decent job.
2. I don't use a foundation primer, but I think I should. I just looked up primers and discovered that it's also good to use moisturizer underneath your foundation if you don't have/want a primer. I've been using the same moisturizer for as long as I can remember, it's just Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturizer. Mostly because I can always find it at the store and it's cheap. Yeehaw.
I use Maybelline. Um, I have a system where I use about 3 different types to get the desired effect. Right now I'm trying out the Falsies brand and it's pretty good. It doesn't thicken the eyelashes though. I think Volume 3x (it's silver) is the best as it has a curved brush and gets good length and thickness. Their Volume brands are all good, although I think the 9x one (yellow) isn't that great. So the 3x or 7x is good and I'll keep buying those.
I need mascara because my eyelashes are blonde and without mascara, I have pretty much no facial expressions other than bland annoyance.
Can't help you with the foundation as I don't use it.
2. I used to use Cargo Blu-Ray mattifier, but I finally realized it was doing zero for my skin, and making my pores worse, so I stopped using it.
Haven't been able to get a new primer, but I want to try Makeup Forever products, so that's what I'd say.
If you ever need to know anything else about makeup, I'm your girl. I LOVE makeup. I have three traincases worth of the stuff. The things I can do with eyeshadow...
Whoever's product the Remarkable Waterproof Mascara is. I wore contacts for ages, and you don't want mascara running down your face every time a speck of dust gets in your eyes.
Other than "waterproof," I'm not picky about mascara. I like this brand because it's water-resistant but comes off with soap-and-water, so you don't use oil/cream to remove it. Only the dark black is truly waterproof, though.
Question #2... Huh? I guess the answer to that would be "No," since I have no idea what you're talking about!
I don't have a lot of mascara needs, aside from waterproof and anti-clumping. Though this one has the traditional brush, and I prefer that.
So I probably can't help you there! I have long lashes already, but they're fine and straight. I use an eyelash curler to curl them, and then the mascara keeps them that way (and makes them more visible). That's about it. :0
I use this mascara for black and this mascara in blue depending on what eye makeup I'm wearing. I really like the Sephora brand. It's easy on and easy off and doesn't run or clump or migrate all over my face.
I use this kit for a foundation primer and tinted moisturizer. I love it. (And I didn't pay that much for it, just so you know.) I have the Laura Mercier foundation powder and I wanted my skintone to even out under it.
I wear the primer and tinted moisturizer even when I'm not wearing makeup though, just so my skin looks better and less red. I also tried to Sephora brand primer and it felt icky, and I've had a MAC primer before and liked it okay, but you have to let it set--like put it on and walk away for bit, check twitter or eat a PopTart before you come back and put your foundation on.
I bought a trial size of the badgal stuff. I kind of like it and I've been reading that purple is nice for brown eyes so perhaps someday I'll try the plum colour they have.
Okay, I will stay away from the Sephora primer. *makes note*
I like Skyscraper by Urban Decay. I DON'T like paying $22 but I like how it feels, doesn't clump and even appears to lengthen. :)
I use a primer when I can get a sample for free. Otherwise, I don't even use foundation, I go moisturizer then MAC's Studio Fix powder because it evens everything out just fine.
Covergirl Lash Blast. I like how good it makes my lashes look? lol, Idk. It helps with volume a bit and it doesn't clump up like some do. Plus, it's a good mascara that's relatively cheap!
I use primer for my eyeshadow? It's Urban Decay Primer Potion. It's a bit pricey but I think it's absolutely worth it. I used to have such a bad problem with my eyeshadow creasing throughout the day (mostly because my eyelids tend to get oily and not just 'cause eyeshadow tends to crease during the day) and while using this, it never does! Or it hasn't on me yet, anyway, and I've been using it since January.
I'd say if they have a primer for the face (they probably do), I'd think about trying it. Knowing me, though, I would want to try and use a primer that'd help with my skin (like prevent breakouts, etc.)
I'll definitely let you know if I ever try to use one someday.
I use a primer for eyeshadow as well. I have the sample thingy that came with the Urban Decay's Naked palette. And I also use Gosh Velvet Touch Eye Primer.
I do sometimes use uh, Hard Candy's foundation primer but I'm not sure if it actually does anything.
I'll be honest, I use whatever mascara suits my needs for that day, I own about 9 different ones right now. Mascara is so subjective though, what one person loves another may HATE. Example, my current (yes, current, because this changes constantly) is Smashbox DNA, but I never recommend it to people because there's a learning curve to it as the brush is awkward.
Fairly universal ones that I'd recommend: Drugstore: Covergirl Lash Blast, Maybelline Stiletto, Rimmel Sexy Curves Higher end: Tarte MultiplEYE (LOVE), Too Face Lash Injection
Primer. Here's another controversial one. It depends on your skin type. Again, some that I use and recommend: Studio Gear Prime Objective, Too Faced Primed and Poreless (both of these have skin care benefits as well as foundation priming qualities), Benefit Porefessional, and if you have oily skin Urban Decay DeSlick in a Tube is an amazing mattifier.
1. DIORSHOW. I have tried several other mascaras - YSL, Kit, Maybelline etc. but nothing is as good as Diorshow. I really like big, black, full lashes and Diorshow is the best for that. I did my research on it and most people agree. What kind of lashes are you after? I've also heard Clinique has good mascara but I have yet to try!
2. I don't but I'm looking into it. I've had Napoleon used on me, and that was good, but I've heard the MAC one is good, Shisuedo too I think? Or Shu? Can't remember tbh.
