If you look closely, you can almost see the AU HS fiction about the geek and jock who fell in love, kept their relationship secret for awhile until friends started questioning why they were hanging out together so much (no one needed that much tutoring) and how come they had matching necklaces.

Except Jared is clearly the geek and he should be popular because he was awkward looking in high school and you can't be mean to him two-fold, Universe, so if he had to be all Gumby, people should have at least liked him for something else. And Jensen should be the gifted athlete no one talks to because he's possibly mute, very gay, and too pretty to exist. Also, his belly button is too high.
