Supernatural 5x02
Sep. 18th, 2009 05:29 pmI hases two questions about 5x02
"This isn't a hobby or an addiction. It's inside you now, this magic. You're responsible for it."
If Sam didn't need the feather and it was in him the whole time ... Why does he not have his mojo any more? I get that it took a lot out of him to kill Lilith but still, it should still be there. Shouldn't it?

Dean knows that there is a hell.
Dean knows that there are demons.
Dean knows that there are angels.
Dean knows that Lucifer is out there looking for work.
And yet he doesn't believe in God. Using small words and hand puppets please explain this to me. I do not understand how he cannot believe in God.

Date: 2009-09-19 11:54 am (UTC)I think Dean has always believed in God. I think he just doesn't have it in him to be ultimately betrayed like that. I think he feels as though everyone he's ever put faith in has betrayed him (Mary by dying for Sam, John by dying for him, Sam by seeking revenge for him, [Jesus/God by dying for humankind]) and I believe there's the tiniest little granule of hope inside Dean that he fervently does NOT want destroyed. Hence, the complete denial of God, or rather, his own beliefs. "Don't believe in it, it can't hurt me," which is rather ridiculous given his vocation, but that's my two cents.
