I've adored and loved all the stories I've read so far (all but two of them) and I. Want. More.

But people ... people I don't know are writing GEN and ew, why are they tormenting ME like that? The show is gen, why write it? People should be catering to MY NEEDS and giving me, at the very least, good porny R rated slashy fiction. Dammit.

PEOPLE ARE DOING THAT IN BANDOM AND IT IS HURTING ME. What's the point of writing fic about hot boys if you're not going to slash them? All of these lovely, long fics are being posted and the gen ones make me so sad. Even though I'm still reading them.

Someone even wrote het. I was shocked and appalled.

I have real issues with het in bandom. Most het pairings are bandom boys' actual wives, and I don't know why it bothers me so much, but I feel like it's an invasion of privacy. Which makes no sense when you look at it logically, because ALL RPF is like that. But for whatever reason, I can justify slashing them better than I can writing about their real life marriages because I feel like, well, they're not actually gay, so it's clearly fiction.

...And I don't know why I went all into that in your journal. Heh. Sorry, I'm apparently in a rambling mood today.

I completely understand that, I used to think that I hated het RPS but it turns out that I just hate Realistic Het RPS and just most of the time mildly dislike Fictional Het RPS. *nods*

I've read a couple Realistic Het RPS and the stories were well written and good and blah blah blah but just. No. No, thank you.

It's just a little creepy sometimes, you know? Disrespectful or something. I felt the same way about Jared/Sandy fic when I was still active in J2. I couldn't read it.

That's an excellent way of explaining it. :D

I enjoy Gen very much, but for SPN I tend to like it better in shorter stories. Anything in that 20K range had better have some smexin' or lovin' as the payoff.
