--Uhm. What? He grew up in a southern state. She grew up in a southern state. And uh, that's their connection? That's the thing he chooses to say is what they have in common? I'm afraid I'm not feeling the love.

Also, with his "similar home" bit, isn't that how he describes his and Jared's relationship? Only when it's about Jared he doesn't (IMO) come off sounding like a jerk.

In conclusion.

Jensen wants to date Jared. But we already knew that.

I think he said it very awkwardly. I get that he doesn't like to talk about his personal life, that's cool, but... I don't know, he doesn't seem very enthusiastic. Maybe it's just because it's in text format and we can't hear the inflections of his voice or see his body language. I don't know.

But what I do know is that Jensen should date Jared. Or at least make out with him in public.

That's what I was thinking, too. Like if it was a VIDEO interview, maybe he'd be giving that sheepish, adorable grin while talking about her and we'd all coo and go "Awww...he's shy, but he lurves her".

That's what I'm thinking. Jensen has a pretty dry sense of humor sometimes, and that bleeds into everything he does. He keeps his emotion on his face, and his tone of voice (*points to icon, melts a little*), not in his words.

Like, if I read some of the video interviews he's done in the past? I don't think they'd read nearly half as adorable as they did on video.

Yeah, I'm sure it was probably a mixture of it being "text" and him being uncomfortable. Although he needs to get over that, they've been together a year already. INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW ALL YOUR SRS BUSINESS JENSEN.

I'm always stuck between these two modes:
1) He's all shy and secretive and it's really fucking adorable. And a big part of why I love him (on the inverse, I love Jared for how open he is - yin and yang, there's my OTP).
2) He's all shy and secretive nearly to the point of being a recluse and I REALLY WANT HIM TO OPEN UP 'CAUSE I'M A NOSY BITCH.

Dry humor definitely works best in person. I've gotten used to it in text, because I, er, used to hang out a lot at TWoP (where you learn pretty quick how to read snark and glean the meaning behind it ... and you also learn that TWoP is of the bad).

But in general, and in person? I love it.
