TV Guide: Would you like to parlay all of that into one of those big-budget sci-fi/comic-book movies?
Ackles: I'm not against it by any means. Comedy, drama, Westerns, sci-fi... it's all fine if the story's compelling and the character is interesting to me. I do like action a lot. The other night there was a big stunt and they brought in my stunt double. When I saw what the stunt was, I was like, "No, no, no. I'm doing this." They'll usually let me do it, unless it's big stuff like a wire-jump off a building — that could be a catastrophe. But [costar] Jared [Padalecki] and I would much rather have a day of action and stunts than a day of the two brothers sitting in a motel room pouring their hearts out. [Laughs]

TV Guide: You realize you have a lot of female viewers because of that emotional stuff, right?
Ackles: This is true. "It's a necessary evil," we like to say.


:blink: Really? Cos I'm watching for the blood, violence and UST. I mean I don't want the boys to hold secrets back because dragging out a storyline like that pisses me off sometimes but I don't want them to sit around and cry about it. Because really, I'm tired of Dean crying.

Why should we always want to watch Lifetime Stupid Network for Women?
Especially when Bruce Willis is blowing shit up and Jason Statham is driving cars off roofs and shooting people in the face?
If given a choice, I'd watch something with Jet Li over something with Sandra Bullock any day.

Yeah...I loves me some manpain there, Ackles, but I'm pretty sure during the opening sequence of "The Kids Are Alright" I was squealing "GOOOOOORRRRREE!!!" at the top of my lungs and bouncing with joy. Also, if they're supposedly on the internets how come they managed to miss all of the fangirling and GLEE over the boys in action!mode? I likes me some Action!Sammy beating up SWAT guys, I do.

You know that is a very fucking good point. I'd really like to know where They (the Supernatural folks) are hanging out. I think they know a few places on LJ but I just have this feeling that they're more on message boards where the 14 year olds are shouting 'Dean's so cuuuuuuute.' or whatever they say. Because where I hang out? There's very little, 'Oh, I love it when they share their emotions.'

It's for a class in the Female Body & Film Theory. We had to select an aspect of the female body in film to write 20 pages about. So I'm writing 20 pages on female cannibals. I just got my movies in the mail, too, so Imma watch "Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death", "Flesh-Eating Mothers", and "Spider-Baby."
