Have we seen Jared eat? I mean besides the candy. I know we've seen him with food but I can't recall seeing him actually eat.

But we definitely saw Dean Forrester eat, right? It's been a little while since I've watched any Gimore Girls.

Jared is a tree. Or possibly an Ent. He stands in the sun and sucks up nutrients from the soil and exhales oxygen, which is why excessive exposure to Jared can make one somewhat high.
