I've suspected it since PB first launched. It's one of the reasons I could never see Michael honestly being in a het relation, though I'm usually pretty easy to sell. But Went pinged my gaydar so hard the needle never came unstuck.
For him, though, this has to be a huge relief! Especially since he's not the lead in a hit show at the moment, and can live his life with less scrutiny anyway. More power to him!
same. and every time he was interviewed about girls or having a girlfriend, I was very annoyed. one, because who cares? and two because well ... you know. however, now I imagine it was a PR type thing.
I do remember a Dominic Purcell interview way back, in which he was backed into lying about Wentworth's sexuality. Because who ASKS someone that about a co-star? It is just wrong and rude.
And yes, being interviewed about 'girlfriends'... how uncomfortable that must have been every single time it came up, where he would be forced to evade, evade or just outright lie when the question carries that heteronormative assumption that it would be a fun topic for him to discuss! Ugh.
Of course, now people will want to know who he's dating for real, but at least some of them will be hoping he's found someone nice and not throwing down the challenge of "Answer in such away that I'm convinced you are not gay."
egads. I'm glad I don't remember that interview or I missed it because the fuck? really, who asks questions like that. And did they really expect him to answer honestly?
maybe Wentworth got lucky and he's also married to NPH? :p
