two down one to go.
Aug. 4th, 2012 08:56 amWatched The Dark Knight yesterday. And it was good.
Two things ... Wait. Three things.
1. Why didn't Katie play the role again? I feel like maybe I heard a reason way back when but didn't pay attention because well, didn't care.
2. I really like how Dent/Two-Face still had the most perfect teeth even after the hideous accident.
3. The worst part / the scariest part was when they (his family) were told that Gordon was dead and then he comes strolling in at the end. I would kill him.
Okay, in a few hours I shall be seeing The Dark Knight Rises.

Date: 2012-08-05 12:54 am (UTC)And yeah, I've had a few weeks to sit on it and third is my favorite. I mean I could give a list of reasons but what made it for me was the John Blake element and Tom Hardy's version of Bane (which I still swear reminds of Sean Connery with the voice).

Date: 2012-08-05 01:50 am (UTC)I loved John Blake! Then I've had this crush on JGL since his Third Rock From the Sun days ... :) Wonderful character, though, and so happy at how they used him. And it's been bugging me for two weeks, but that's exactly who Tom Hardy sounded like when using the Bane voice! When I read your comment, I was like, "that's it! That's who it sounded like!" Some of his line delivery, now that I have a reference, reminds me of him dropping dialogue Bond films.

Date: 2012-08-05 02:14 am (UTC)I LOVED what they did with Blake (and ditto on JGL, I loved him in 3rd Rock, Brick and Inception) I think he executed the material so good (I was spoiled for that plot point but not the other) and still loved how it played out. I think that's why it was so satisfying this time (for me anyway). And, yes, I leaned over to my sister and told her about Sean Connery from the get go and kept imagining Hardy-Bane as Bond and could not stop laughing on the way home.
