Taylor Swift and The Hunger Games

So, as you may have heard. Miss Taylor Swift has sung a song for the upcoming The Hunger Games movie. There is an article here about it (along with the song)

I really do not like it. Maybe after a couple more listens it'll be okay but right now. No.

I have nothing against Taylor Swift and country music is probably my second favourite type of music. But I don't think this song fits the feel of the book (or the movie based on the trailer)

I'd like more of a Run Lola Run and/or Hanna soundtrack.

After doing a search of youtube I did find one that wasn't blocked. It's okay but I'm with you. I mean I love Taylor Swift. She's one of my favorites but I'd probably have to listen to it several times before I actually started liking it. Lately, though I've found that I don't really like a lot of songs featured on soundtracks. Even if I really like the artist or band that sings it.

I gave it a few listens today and I came to the conclusion that I hate it and it's not my kind of thing. TBH, I pictured something less.. slow sounding.

I'm not terribly impressed with the song either. You're right, unless the trailer is completely misleading us, and they are REALLY straying from the book-I can't see it fitting in to any scene I can think of.

I'm not sure I'd go techno/instrumental like Hanna or Run Lola Run, but I don't have any better suggestions, so yeah, those would be much better than the song they've setled on.

Okay, yes. That does make it better but I'm still not digging it. :/
