Things That I Liked:
Osiris. If only because he reminded me of BtVS.

Things That Were Pretty Nifty:
Sam and Dean working a case.

Things That I Didn't Get:
The episode.

I mean, I get it in the sense that Sam is a nutjob and doesn't feel guilty because he spent time in Hell and paid his dues. And Dean's a perfect angel and feels guilty, even though he too spent time in Hell but he's just perfectly flawed that way.

Just.

Other than giving Alona Tal something to do for a few days, was there a point to this episode?

I'm shouting, bring in Amy! and they bring in Jo maybe because they like her and want her around for a few days. I think considering the very little plot in this ep, the point was the stunt casting.

I loved seeing Jo, but yeah, nothing as far as story or plot moved. It was another Dean-has-issues episode. And poor Bobby, still fielding phone calls.

I feel like...because it was only Alona that they brought in, it didn't really have a point. If this had been a real, all-out "let's get into Dean's guilt" fest it might've worked better but the fact that Amy - y'know, from THE LAST EPISODE - wasn't there (even when Sam wasn't) felt bizarre. And since Sam DIDN'T find out about Dean killing Amy and since he DIDN'T, like, force an intervention on him or something it was just like "what?"

And okay, fine. We've established that Sam's feeling all enlightened & shit (he finished demon blood AA, Dean's an alcoholic!) and Dean is a mess and that still kinda makes sense buuuuuut what was the point of this episode? Instead of making any forward progress in the narrative they just kinda stated the obvious.

This episode should've been done in, like, season 3 - at the very least, season 4...when we all still gave a crap that Dean's a guilty-feeling emo!boy who needs to address his issues.

Frankly, this was an "Angel vs Spike" episode, only we've known about these characters issues since season 1.
