What's a trip to Vancouver without a little Supernatural set stalking? ... Probably a pretty good one, actually.

Yeah. So.

I swear whenever I read (or skim - since I don't want to be spoiled - unless I spoil myself) other people's set visits it's always, "We had such a wonderful time. We spent an hour talking to the director and then Jared and Jensen came over and my goodness they're so wonderful. We chatted with them for so long and had lunch together and then we all played backgammon until they had to go back to work ... Oh, and here are some great high quality pictures we got with the boys. Golly, I love that set."* And when I go it's, "Please stand way back there, don't look or talk to anyone and you can't take any pictures ... And here! Put this bag over head." Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating but only slightly.

For Example.

[livejournal.com profile] karmicunderpath and I were there late Friday night. When we got there there were a couple of other people there. One woman was just holding her camera and they were talking to some guy (not sure who he was or what he did for the show) and I overhead him saying, 'Go ahead and take some pictures. Please remember to keep the flash off but other than that take as many pictures as you'd like.' A little while later I had my phone out to try and take at least one decent picture and some girl said to me, 'You can't take pictures.' I said, 'But the guy earlier said that we could.' I'm fairly certain that if she didn't have to go and do something she would have said, 'Uh, he said that other person could take pictures, he didn't mention you at all. YOU are not allowed.'

Ugh.

Right. So, I took a few pictures but they're all dark and blurry and not worth looking at so there are no photos under the cut but there is talk of guest stars. Not new guest stars but people that have been on the show before. So if guest stars are not spoilers in your book then there are no spoilers in this post. And this would be for ep 21.

So some acting stuff happened. You'll see it later if you watch. We actually didn't see much of the acting because of where they were filming we had to pretty much hide around the corner.

We saw Sebastian Roché and I was so tempted to @reply to him: 'I can see you. ps. Thanks for putting on a shirt and pants.' But I did not.

I missed it but Karla said that at one point Jared had a huge plate piled with food and then he got into Clif's Safety Van to eat all by himself. I laughed so so so hard. Really. Really hard. Earlier today I was thinking that I saw him leave the van but I didn't see him bring out a plate. So, I guess he just left in there. Awesome.

Cindy Sampson (aka Lisa) was also there. And I was so very nearly close enough to say to her, 'Hey, enjoyed you on Being Human.' but there was motherfucking truck in my way. I'm still kinda pissed about that. I want to punch that vehicle in the face.

And here's the part that I can't decide if it's really awesome or extremely sad.

Clif (aka Professional Bodyguard and Constant Vigilante) drove Jared, Jensen and Sebastian (three decent sized grown men) downhill a few feet to their trailers.

Oh, I should probably mention that this was late at night so obviously it was dark, it was also cold and a little rainy and this was in a somewhat shitty area.

When Cindy left she was by herself. Okay, I think there was some random older dude with her. She also had to WALK UPHILL to ... however the hell she was getting home.

What I want to know is - Was she asked if she wanted a ride and she said, 'Uh, no. I'm not a fucking pussy.' or if they (whoever 'they' are) said, 'You're on your own, bitch! Good luck out there!'

Seriously. Someone please ask that at the next panel.

* I don't know that I'd actually want Jared and/or Jensen to come over because well, I don't have anything to say to them other than, 'Hey, have you ever heard the expression Eye Candy should know when to shut its mouth? No? Oh, well you should maybe keep it in mind when you uh, open your mouth.' ... I'm kidding (on the square) Seriously, I don't have anything I particularly want to say to them.

I'm not a very good set stalker. If for some reason Lost Girl ever starts filming in Vancouver? I'd be on that like white on rice.

Right? I so do not get it. It's bothering me a lot more than it probably should.

They're big, douchey, babies. I would want to punch a guy if I saw him getting driven down a hill.

I love you so fucking much.

I don't know if it'd bother me quite as much if I hadn't seen Cindy walking up hill by herself earlier but since I did ... Yeah.

Haha, I love you, toooo. <3

Yeah, I agree. CINDY, YOU GO GIRL. I hope she video taped her treacherous journey up the hill on her cellphone and found a way to send it to Jared with the subject line YOU ARE A PUSSY.

HA! I wouldn't know what to say to them if I met them in person, either. But sounds like you had quite an adventure.

You're obviously not blowing enough people. jk I only had good luck on Smallville set once and that was looking at John Glover set fire to paper.

I have a lot of feelings and words on this, but I'll keep my mouth shut.

anyway.

This

'Hey, have you ever heard the expression Eye Candy should know when to shut its mouth? No? Oh, well you should maybe keep it in mind when you uh, open your mouth.'

made me lol.

....I think I'm doing this whole fandom thing wrong :|

I'm glad you had a good time, and got to at least ~glimpse~ where the ~magic~ happens :P

You should PM me your thoughts because I'm sure I'd enjoy hearing them.

Why do you think you're doing it wrong? What is the right way?

ha, there's always been a right and wrong way to do fandom, and I'm usually pretty squarely on the ~wrong~ side

Like someone got annoyed with me yesterday b/c she didn't think I was saying the "right" things about the ~stars~ and those who orbit them. [lol she legit told me it was an insult to call JManns $10Manns. I was all "....O.o" cause he calls HIMSELF that and poses with $10 bills w/ fans, sooooooooooo.....]

And IDK, based on what has been dropping out of their mouths of late - we don't disproportionately kill women, you idiots! - has made me :||||| And want to for real say, "shhh, just sit there and look pretty." :|

And, I mean, huddled in a black-out van to shove food down yer gullet? HOKAY, W/E :|

And leaving a guest star to wander around after the shoot? :|

In sum: :|

From: [identity profile] certainthings.livejournal.com
Maybe it is an insult maybe he's upped it to $15Manns? :p

It wasn't a black-out van but I think that would've made it more funny to me.

I'm pretty sure Cindy was walking to her car or a car that was going to drive her to wherever she stays when she's filming here but yeah, having her walk up hill by herself when they were driven downhill? Really sort of bothers me.

I am trying to convince myself that there are some kinda extenuating behind-the-scenes circumstance in which she kept insisting she didn't need a ride and they *finally* backed off, cuz yeah, I might've noticed the same thing and been highly bothered by it. She's a woman & maybe can handle herself... just I dunno... that she was a guest star & I like to believe the boys are southern gentlemen and chivalrous and all that. Bleh. I don't like it either. It doesn't sit right with me. Like I said *trying to convince myself there's more to it*

I'm glad I'm not the only bothered and confused by this. If you manage to convince yourself that there were extenuating circumstances, please get your brain to convince me as well.

When she was leaving she was saying goodbye to some PA type people and they were saying goodbye to her. I don't remember any of them saying anything like, 'You're not getting a ride tonight?' or something that would imply that it was at least offered. However, since I (obviously) don't know what usually goes on, maybe it's normal that she walks after shooting or something. Ugh. I don't know!

LAAAAAME.

Okay, maybe it was a long day and she was tired and told them in advance before she saw the PA, etc? Or maybe it's a fancy boys club where they smoke cigars and have menstrual-sniffing bears handy to tear any woman's face off? (Anchorman reference FTW)

LOL I don't know why it's bothering me so much but it issss!!!

Yeah I've noticed that they then to get a bit more protective on sets closer to the end of the season. Probably to keep spoilers to a minimum. If you can, try coming when the next season starts filming in July! (Fingers crossed)

Oh and I thought I should add...it's not always Jared and Jensen's choice to be driven to a certain spot..Clif is kind of a hard ass like that.. If he says get in the car they basically have to get in the flippin car. It sucks but it's true. Pisses me off too. :(

I think that if this were a case of him telling them to get in the vehicle that might make me more sad/confused/pissed.

Crew or security or whatever should have ONE rule on set and fucking stick to it. Don't make diff rules for diff people. Assholes. >:|

So some acting stuff happened. You'll see it later if you watch.
This made me LOL.

I think you should totally have @ replied to Roche.

You know, I think I kind of like Cindy Sampson. (Have to admit, I'm always more partial to Cnd actors, and she was on Being Human, so yeah.)

Lost Girl films a couple hours away from me. So you should visit me, and we could stalk that set, and the Being Human set (it's an hour east of me.)

:)

Later he tweeted that he was at some restaurant and I replied with "be there soon." and yet no response from him. I guess he's not afraid of stalkers.

I don't know if I like her yet but I did like her character Cindy on Being Human.

Man oh man. If I ever could afford to go out that way I'd be there so fast. And you should totally stalk the set.
