Friends cut

What if you made one of those, 'Hey, I'm doing a friends cut - comment if you want to stay.' posts and NO ONE commented? How shit would you feel?

Seriously.

ps. I'm not doing a friends cut, I was just saying 'What if...'

Personally, I wouldn't make that kind of entry. I do occassionally do a friends cut, but I just post that I am making it and the reasons why someone may get cut. I don't ask people if they want to stay. Asking them if they want to stay kinda defeats the purpose of wanting to do the cut to get rid of people. So I am not sure how I'd feel.

I don't care for it when people don't announce friends cuts at all, that can be annoying - especially if you're left wondering if you were the only one cut and went wrong.

I understand that, completely. I try to communicate with everyone on my flist (even if it isn't as often as I'd like). If I find that I just don't talk to someone, or I don't even care to read their entries anymore (because we have fallen so out of touch) that is generally why I do a cut. And I say that in my post about it.
