Friends cut

What if you made one of those, 'Hey, I'm doing a friends cut - comment if you want to stay.' posts and NO ONE commented? How shit would you feel?

ps. I'm not doing a friends cut, I was just saying 'What if...'

My direct answer is that I'd have that nasty "ouch" feeling in my chest when I'm let down. The roundabout non-answer: I wouldn't do one of those posts. One, I don't have that many people to cut *looks at self and laughs* and two, I don't have the sort of journal where it matters.

I get having people comment on being added, I do. Something like a hello is nice, but if not, okay. I don't get asking people to ask to stay. *shrugsidk*

I do like it when new folks say hello. I figure when people say they're doing a friends cut they have at least a couple of people in mind that they want to cut, and if they did one of those posts and one of those people commented ... wouldn't that defeat the purpose? Probably.
