All right. Guess we should get the good things out of the way. The things that I actually liked about this ep. And those things would be. a)Death! Or well, the actor playing him. Love him so much. He should be a series regular. And b)Bobby's delivery and facial expression when he said, "Don't say, 'Here's Johnny.' Also c)Tessa's kind of all right.
And uh, now if you don't like negative things, I guess you should stop reading ... I kid. Most people have stopped reading my reviews because they're mostly negative.
This episode was fucking balls! Jesus!
I think bullet points are the way to go now. So, buckle up.
01. I really wish the fucking make up department would find some foundation that isn't orange. And then learn about blending. Ugh.
02. I don't like it when Dean and Sam (or I guess Jensen and Jared) attempt facial expressions. It really annoys my eyes. Yes, okay. Sometimes they do a decent job but a lot of the time ... not so much.
03. I refuse to believe that Sam would attempt to kill Bobby. I can only suspend my belief so much.
04. I don't understand why the writers are trying to get people to hate Sam even more.
05. I'm glad that he's got his soul back (I hope it sticks) ... not because I don't enjoy soulless Sam but because I do not enjoy all the "I hate Sam, he's such an asshole. Boo." "Dean's the greatest character ever invented. This show would be top notch if it were just him." type posts. I try to avoid them but sometimes I stumble.

...that was seasons 1-3. My bad.
They could really turn him into a rapist, and this fandom would find an excuse for it and still love him. They could turn Sam into a literal unicorn who saves leukemia patients with his horn, and this fandom would find a way to turn it into something bad.
That Sam? Totally would have killed Bobby. And I am SO PISSED that it didn't happen. I honest to god was positive that was the way the episode was gonna go. I thought he'd kill him and Dean would have to reap his soul (although that's not how it happened, with the reaping thing), but that didn't happen. Instead, Dean fucked up AGAIN, and they locked Sam up AGAIN, and...ugh. Lots of blech. INCLUDING CALLING LUCIFER "LUCY". AND MENTIONING ADAM FOR .5 SECONDS. That was for fandom. Please. Whatever.
However, I LOVE Balthazar. Love him to fucking pieces. So that thrilled me to my toes. Need more of him, but I think he's going back to my other show, so I don't care much.
Are they orange? I've got the saturation on my tv turned down to almost nothing, lol, so IDK. But I thought Jared looked gorgeous tonight, and Jensen's mouth was pretty, so I don't care much about that, either.
Lol @ their faces - I was thinking about that, at the end, when Sam was all O.O DON'T DO IT and his eyes were huge, except I was thinking how happy I was that Jared was actually downplaying the expressions. Oopsie?

Date: 2010-12-11 06:49 am (UTC)And you know, not long before I read this I was thinking of things and one of those things was of Sam being an actual unicorn and people still hating him. I hadn't thought about him curing anything ... just being a unicorn. It's like we have the same mind! Only yours goes further in the thought process.
I'd have missed Bobby if Sam had killed him but I think it would've been ballsy and such if the writers had went there and they actually kept Bobby dead. Which probably wouldn't have happened.
I think I like Balthazar. I enjoy his voice.
They weren't as orange as they were in uh, It's a Terrible Life? Or whatever the hell that one was called but yeah. And Tessa looked bad in some scenes with the orange and the nonblended make up.
The scene nearish the end when Sam was on the Panic Room bed and him and Dean were looking at each other and the camera kept panning back and forth? Holy Fuck Jesus. That was the stupidest! It was soap opera ridiculous.
