Supernatural : 6x11 : Appointment in Samarra

Spoilers for the ep.

All right. Guess we should get the good things out of the way. The things that I actually liked about this ep. And those things would be. a)Death! Or well, the actor playing him. Love him so much. He should be a series regular. And b)Bobby's delivery and facial expression when he said, "Don't say, 'Here's Johnny.' Also c)Tessa's kind of all right.

And uh, now if you don't like negative things, I guess you should stop reading ... I kid. Most people have stopped reading my reviews because they're mostly negative.

This episode was fucking balls! Jesus!

I think bullet points are the way to go now. So, buckle up.

01. I really wish the fucking make up department would find some foundation that isn't orange. And then learn about blending. Ugh.

02. I don't like it when Dean and Sam (or I guess Jensen and Jared) attempt facial expressions. It really annoys my eyes. Yes, okay. Sometimes they do a decent job but a lot of the time ... not so much.

03. I refuse to believe that Sam would attempt to kill Bobby. I can only suspend my belief so much.

04. I don't understand why the writers are trying to get people to hate Sam even more.

05. I'm glad that he's got his soul back (I hope it sticks) ... not because I don't enjoy soulless Sam but because I do not enjoy all the "I hate Sam, he's such an asshole. Boo." "Dean's the greatest character ever invented. This show would be top notch if it were just him." type posts. I try to avoid them but sometimes I stumble.

06. Seriously, someone send the set some blendy sponge things.

Heh. It annoys me so fucking much - people are not meant to be orange.

Deep down, I suppose I know that but still ... I just, I can't believe that he would do that. I get that he doesn't want it back but yeah.

I was kind of expecting it to, or for him to say, 'Here's Sammy!' I just really liked the way Bobby said the line.

That is terrific, I need to have no expectations for this show.

I think I learned it after Ellen and Jo got all blowed up. Ellen was my favourite character and I was really sick of all the kick ass ladies dying. I guess something just broke in my brain, and I could enjoy the show without expectations. Maybe it was my inner feminist dying just a little. Maybe it was picking the Impala as my new favourite character.

Either way I like it a lot better now. :)
