What Sam/Dean BB have you enjoyed? I think I'd like to read one now or at least get started on one before bed. I'd prefer one that was full of porny and plotty goodness. What would you recommend?

I haven't encountered any Sam/Dean BB fics that actually HAVE porn in them. I am very disappointed. Of course, I've only read 1 Sam/Dean so far (and 2 J2)... so maybe I'll find one that fits the bill?

The author!Sam one wasn't terrible, but it really could/should have been longer.

My only real complaint about the BBs I've read so far is "NOT ENOUGH PORN, NEEDS TO BE LONGER". I just finished a J2 fic that mentioned past-J2 sexy tiems, but not even in detail. wtf? lol I'm complain-y today.

The only one I've read is the author!Sam one, and it was pretty much porn free. (There might have been some Sam/Jess stuff, but I used my handy scroll button to go past that.) It also wasn't really heavy on plot, tbh.

I'm going to have to add in on the griping about fic length. Some of them, I dunno, they seem like they're going to be longer at first but then the story kind of abruptly hurries to an end much quicker than maybe they should've. Like, if you're going to put in time to get the reader interested in the characters then there has to be some reason for it. And, I have to agree, if you're not writing a porny fic then there has to be something else to it. Some decent plot, some intense emotional moments, *shrugs* something.

I've only really read a few so far, though, and most of those were J2. It looks like several of the wincest ones are sequels which means going back and rereading or reading for the first time the originals.

Not that the non-porny ones are completely lacking in plot, but it feels like they really should have been fleshed out more. I could've sworn I was reading gen fic a few times by the complete lack of non-platonic feelings between the characters. And this was in supposed slash fics! *hand-wave of wtf*

In regards to the sequels, have you noticed that a few don't even SAY they're sequels until you get to like, part 1 of the fic? I would think that should be noted on the masterpost on the comm, right?

Or if it IS mentioned in the masterpost, it's really easy to miss. Which just seems weird because if it's a sequel, wouldn't you want to make sure your readers are familiar with your universe/characters first before they read the sequel?

rei_c's is pretty awesome, The Vernacular Process. There's def. a good porn scene or two in it, although technically Sam is really acting out a memory from a past life. But it was a good read. I may also possibly be fond of it for its setting...

But yeah other than that, it's mostly been Sam/Dean light, which I mean, they're still decent stories, like the author!Sam one, but there needs to be a "if Wincest were Gen" category for it. ...if that makes sense.
