stalking icons

What exactly happens when one is "notified" when someone uploads a new icon? Just an email telling you 'so and so has uploaded an icon' or is it more 'here is a link to so and so's new uploaded icon.'?

I used to maybe sort of scoff at the idea of such a thing but since I stalk some of you and your userpics, it might be easier just to be notified. I don't know.

Thanks but it's the folks at Old Spice who are the geniuses. Though, I am 98 percent sure Jensen felt that way when he was being photographed that day.
