certainthingsI watched the trailer for 5x07. I have words to say.
Obviously, I don't know how the whole show is going to play out but uh, just based on the trailer? I vote to keep old!Dean. He was fucking awesome. Regular Dean can uh, come back in a couple of weeks as like a spirit to guide Sam through his journey. Mmmhmm.

I am tickled by your idea of keeping Old!Dean on and having Jensen!Dean come back as a spirit guide for Sam that only he (and the audience) can see and hear. It'd be like Quantum Leap! \:D/
(and really, how fitting would Dean be as Al and Sam as well, Sam. don't answer that if you have no clue what I'm talking about. sometimes I spout off random tv trivia)
