How about when they friend you and never commment at the friending, OR any time in the future?

That happens to me all the time. It's like, "I guess you're here for the fic. Though I wouldn't know-- you've never commented before, and you still don't comment now!"

But it doesn't really bug me that much. Though I love fic-comments!

Lurkers are going to lurk, for whatever reason. It's their nature. ;)

Mmhmm. I've got a couple people 'round these parts who've never ever commented. I don't know what they're here for.

Some of mine who never comment are ESL folks from Russia/China/etc, but I assume they comprehend enough to enjoy the fics. There's someone who leaves extensive comments in Spanish on my fics over at fanfiction.net, and when I put them into a translator I see that there is a LOT of thought going into those comments and that the person has certainly understood the story well (and has ideas about further possibilities). It's fascinating.
