I don't know how many of you read or remember anything about the Babysitter's Club books but one or two of the kids (I think it might've been one of the Pikes) liked grilled peanut butter and jam sandwiches. I thought that sounded kind of good and so many long years ago I tried one and it was freakin' delicious and so many years later, I'm still eating them. But today on the outside with the butter margarine I added some cinnamon and sugar and homygod SO GOOD.

* * *

I've decided that the foot of Jensen's bed is wooden and carved into the shape of a large cowboy boot and the headboard (also wooden- obviously) is shaped like one of those half circle signs you see on farms and such and carved into is 'Jensen's Dude Ranch'

Mmmhmm.

OMG I LOVE YA!!
I've got 26 BSC books (in Dutch though coz the American versions were too expensive to import) and OMG the other week one of the movies was on again!!
Stupid thing though is is that they changed names and places. Like Stacey is Petra in Dutch and she was from Amsterdam instead of NYC and stuff like that....

How do you grill them? Like, do you put butter on the bread like you do with grilled cheese?

I believe this to be true, but only if it is also true that Jared purchased the bed.

OMG! The Babystitter's Club books rocked! I haven't thought about them in the longest time. Just so you know, if I find myself scouring second handbook shops on the weekend for copies of those books I'm totally blaming you. *nods* ;D

Wow, I haven't thought of those books in so long! I used to love them. I think it'd be funny to go back and read them now because I just remember they were kinda repetitive. The second chapter always explained who everyone was, as I recall.

I actually have pb&j in my house. Mayhaps I'll grill me up some sammich before my main course. I've never tried it grilled before. It sounds interesting. :)

Hee! 'Jensen's Dude Ranch' (Did you ever watch the show 'Hey Dude' on Nickelodeon?? Because the theme song is now stuck in my head.)

Huh, I didn't know that about BSC but I love toasted PBJ. I started eating them in Japan cause you can find sealed sandwiches where the insides don't drip everywhere. Admittedly I still wouldn't have thought of it myself but toasting was one of their serving suggestions.

I didn't know they had those in the books. My step-dad makes those, and everybody I've ever told about them just says they sound weird. Soo good though.

Heehee. I'm trying not to decide if Jared bought it for him or if Jared snickered when he first saw it.

I had never tried PB&J grilled until I was an assistant and that's what the teacher decided to do for cooking once. It's made of awesome, I will admit. Never even thought to try it with cinnamon and sugar, but it sounds SO good. I used to always eat sugar and cinnamon toast when I was a kid.

Oh, man... I'm completely late to this post because I'm just now gettting caught up on my flist, but...

I just had to say that it's 3:30 in the morning and I'm so damn hungry now! I have never tried grilled peanut butter and jam sandwiches. But they sound DELICIOUS. So I think I definitely need to make me one of those in the morning. :)
