Really? Interesting.

The pose is kind of ... yeah. But what if he was like that and all bruised and sweaty and bloody and okay. *stops*

The guys' t-shirts are just dorky to me but the excess of muscles makes me snort and roll my eyes. I've always had issues with excessive displays of uber-masculinity and the inherent ridiculousness of posturing.

I over-think things. *shrug*

What's really funny is that I've been reading a book about American men in photographs and this kinda sums up the guy's entire discussion of non-studio photography.

It's John Ibson and he has a lot to say about intimacy, gender play, and homoerotic imagery as a constant factor in men's casual photography as men's relations have become more limited. This picture particularly reminds me of the chapter on the military and the naval Neptune ceremonies but in general he thinks that men circumvent formal boundaries of association through intimacy initiated via "play" in non-studio photos.

Basically, if you showed him this picture he'd say "well, duh, what else did you think would happen?"
