'Cept there was the second scene in the bar where we just see Sam chewing which was okay but uh, he seemed to be chewing for a really RILLY long time. I began to think that he was actually chewing on his tongue. Bah.

I enjoyed this Shapeshifter. I got a little, just a tiny bit teary eyed when he was dying at the end there and I said outloud to him, 'I like you.' because yes I am one of those types who talks to the tv. :p

He was just so adorable and over dramatic but mostly I fucking LOVED LOVED LOOOOOOVED that he punched Dean in the FAAAAAAACE for using that stupid fucking annoying "Batman" voice. OKay, so he didn't punch Dean for that but I like to pretend that he did.

When Sam came to rescue Dean I got all essited that Dracula was going to push Sam against the wall and try and bite him because HOT but then no he started beating up Dean again which was fantastic because Dean started with that voice again and IT NEEDS TO STOP because I'm fairly sure that I'm not the only one who's cheese is being grated and goat is being gotten by that *voice*.

PLEASE TO BE TALKING LIKE A NORMAL PERSON DEAN WINCHESTER!

Hah! Besides that there were there any specific Buffy scenes that you thought of? When Dean and Jamie were sitting and Dean was all, "Blah blah I save lives." I thought of Buffy and well, nothing specific but I'm sure there's a scene that matches that. Hold on. HOLD ON. *searches* Hmm, maybe not I was just reminded of this

The entire thing reeked of the same OMWF and... oh, lord, the name, the one where they all wake up with amnesia because of Willow and her forgetting spell for Tara, and also Something Borrowed, Something Blue (that was the title, right?). They all FELT the same, and Dean's and Sam's reactions to EVERYTHING was so reminiscent of Xander, and OMG I MISS BUFFY.

That quote - is that from when she met the Original Slayer? I can't quite place it - but now that you bring that up, wow, it's such a sharp contrast, the way Buffy was after she was brought back from Heaven, and how Dean is after Hell.

Dale was the character that guy played on The Riches with Eddie Izzard, lol. I kept thinking, Nawwwww, that can't be him, he's better than Supernatural, and then I thought OMG BLASPHEMY, HOW DARE YOU THINK THAT OF SHOW, but then I remembered, Hey, he worked with Eddie and Minnie, and...SO I GOT EXCITED.

More Buffy-isms...that whole last bit with the hero gets the girl thing...it's SO Spike...but then that would make it Angel, rather than Buffy...

Hmm. AND - AND SPIKE AND ANGEL! On the thingie, the scooter vespa thingie? That's what it was! Yes, more Angel than Buffy, except for where the whole episode was Joss-ish.

Mmm, yes. Very Spike. And I'd love to agree with you about the Vespa thing but my Angel memory is totally rusty. :(

Yes and no. I think they're both pretending that they're FINE. I mean obviously we know that Buffy was pretending and I think a lot of the time Dean is too just that the writers forget that and so Jensen does a really good job of it but when it's an ep with a dream/flashback or Castiel then he remembers that he's supposed to act like he's okay and not just BE okay. If that makes any sense which it probably doesn't and this reply is getting really long that I wouldn't be surprised if you stopped reading about ten pages back. HOMG SHUT UP, SMIDGE

That's where all my cackling came from! The credits were popping up, and I kept waiting for them to throw pictures of Dean and Sam smiling and laughing cornily in front of a milkshake shop or something.

OK, that's it, Tabula Rasa, thank you! (Which is funny, because I'm sitting there talking back and forth with tabularassa right now.) It wasn't any ONE thing, it was more the way it felt so tongue-in-cheek, like you knew it wasn't supposed to be serious, but at the same time, there were all these underlying messages right beneath the surface. Same thing with Something Blue, but moreso the cheesy vampire simply looking for love with the pretty blonde, lmao. This Dracula (I'm gonna keep calling him Dale in my head) was SUCH a caricature of poor Spike, lusting after Buffy, and so CONFUSED, poor thing, lmfao, and I felt for him, even though he was "evil", the same way I felt for Spike, even before he was...chipped out/defanged.

OH, SMIDGE! When Angel and Spike went to Italy! Remember? Because Buffy was making nice with the Immortal! And they were zooming around on a little Vespa, and dear god, I didn't imagine that, did I? THERE WAS ZOOMING, WASN'T THERE?

Oh, I hated that episode. It was a GOOD episode, but god, it kinda HURT. (And I felt the same for Anya when she was bad as I did for Spike pre-chip and Dalecula.)

I don't think Dean is fine, but I do think that he was being truthful with that little speech. I think that it took going to Hell to make him realize that he's not just on Daddy's mission, or protecting Sam, that he does actually serve a purpose all of his own. IT MADE SENSE, LMAO.
