Why can't people use cut tags like,  "Future Spoilers for [Name of Character]" and not say, "[Name of Character] Goes On a Shopping Trip" and then have the details of the shopping trip under the cut.

Because telling me that Character is going on a shopping trip already spoils everything.

Overly specific cut tags and subject headings really put me in a bad mood. As when someone lj-cuts the details but outside the cut says, "I'm going to be depressed for the next four days, I can't believe that happened!" I can't decide if it's a lack of common sense or just a different standard for what's spoilery.

Oh my God, yes. Sometimes I think I hate reactionary spoilers MORE than just spoiler spoilers. I think that those types definitely have a different spoiler policy but also that they are bastards who don't really care about how others feel.
