Seriously though. I don't think he's that uh, good at the singing. He's not horrible, no. But the only reason I'd buy his album is because it's JENSEN and not because I thought he was good.

And I mean Jensen not Dean, just so we're clear. I think I like Dean's singing more but not a lot - just slightly better

I couldn't be more jealous of Danneel and Sandy if I tried and yet I sort of want to pet them.

Which isn't really an opinion or an unpopular one, just a fact that exists in my life

I agree. People exaggerate how AMAZING he is just because it's him. If it was just some dude, they'd say that is was shit. I think he trys to sing through his nose and make his voice more gruff and manly, because he sings pretty high. It's still cute though and I'd hit it like the fist of an angry god. And I don't get Danneel and Sandy. They're just... girlfriends and bad actresses. I don't care about 'em, frankly.

Jensen's voice is pretty mundane. I kinda think he can sing in the same way I can. He can hold a tune and he's not horrible, but there's nothing special about his singing voice. :0P

Yup, I agree *nods* The other Michelle told me about the youtube clips a little while ago and I told her he's not bad, he's a pretty decent back up, but I would not like to listen to an entire album, and I'm totally one of those girls that pretty much squees about anything Jensen related :d

Jensen's singing has never stuck in my head long enough for me to have an opinion. What I mean is, I never remember afterwards what he sounded like and I don't really seek out clips of him singing or anything.

Okay, I'm so glad I wasn't the first to say that. Here's the thing, RIGHT OFF THE BAT when I heard people going on and on about how great Jensen's singing was, I had to hear it (because Dean's one thing, but I figure Jensen's probably another, because I know when I sing as ME, it sounds different than when I used to sing in a character role) and well...I wasn't impressed. He's not awful, or anything; the guy can definitely hold a tune...but angels don't fly out of his asshole when he starts to sing or anything, so what's the big damn deal?

As for Daneell and Sandy, well, I don't know Danneel's work at all (save the tampon scene in TIH that's all over Youtube), so I can't give an opinion on it. She's fucking hot, though; I'd do her. Sandy...heh. Okay, I LOVE Sandy, I do. But I think her work in Supernatural was mediocre at best and that's all that most of fandom knows her for, other than being Jared's hot girlfriend. I saw Cry_Wolf and I thought she was really good, but then I've also watched her demo reel at her webpage, so, it's like...sometimes she's really ON and sometimes she's really BAD. I'd pay to BE her for a day, don't get me wrong ;) but other than in still form, I can't say I'm super duper impressed with the girls, either.

So maybe your opinion isn't as unpopular as you think?

I agree with you on Jensen's singing. From the way it is talked about online I would think he was amazing and missed his calling as a singer. I don't know why people get so excited not that I wouldn't buy his album because I love him.

i dont think he's like an amazingly great singer- for me it was more of a surprise that he could even sing at all. i think thats why he doesn't do it very often. he loves music but he knows hes not that great. plus you know he wouldn't like all that extra attention

oh man danneel and sandy. i'm jealous of them for just getting to see how jensen and jared are like, without even thinking dirty thoughts.

I think I love him more because he acknowledges that he's not great and all that crap. It's still 2 steps up from me since I'm terrified of singing in front of people and not because I suck, cuz I don't (there is some modesty there)...I'm just paranoid about being judged.

I'm definitely with ya on the jealousy vs. petting bit. I'd make a deal with the Devil just to see those boys in their normal, everyday life for one day. I really would.
