Date: 2007-12-12 12:12 am (UTC)I think that's partly because it's ALL RPS, so there's no holier than thou types running around telling people how they shouldn't write it. It's also mostly boys and they wear EYELINER so I mean... they kind of bring the slash on themselves. :P
It's also strangely pro female. Everyone likes the girlfriends and the women in the bands. I know of two wanks in that fandom, one having to do with whether or not Patrick Stump is drinking a beer in a picture (it was mostly considered ridiculous) and the other was started by an SPN person actually. :D It was about whether or not the "stage gay" the bands have going is insulting to people who are actually gay. Because this girl is actually gay and she took offense to them making out on stage and then going home to their wives and girlfriends.

As soon as everything has set in, some of the original shine has been lost, once people have comfortably settling into their positions of power, they suddenly have time to wank about the dumbest things.
