but like what else has been a lie?
Nov. 10th, 2013 05:09 pmmy whole life or okay, a good portion of it. i was taught / told that 1 cup = 250 ml. and when making things, i have used this conversion. it's worked well for me.
HOWEVER.
a couple of days ago i learned that this has been a LIE. one cup is not the same as 250 millilitres.
one cup is actually equal to 237 millilitres.
THAT'S NOT EVEN CLOSE. okay, it sort of is. but what the fuck? why wasn't i taught (and maybe you as well) that one cup equals 240 mls? at least that's closer.
now? now i don't know what else has been a lie that i've believed to be true.
