you put things away. you dust. wash. vacuum. whatever it is you do, and/or needs to be done.

and it looks nice. and you say to yourself, 'fuck it. this is nice. I'm going to keep this place tidy."

how long before it becomes a mess again?

for me? a week or two.

and for those of you with children. I don't mean their messes, (toys and such) - that does doesn't count.

I still have some cleaning to do. I haven't vacuumed yet. And a few things need to be put away and other organized.

but.

this time, I'm going to try for at least three weeks.

yeah about a week or two. or less if i'm having a crap time and cbf to keep it up.

for my friends with kids? they'd say about five minutes after food was given to their children, haha.

Try a couple of days. I have two of the most slovenly young adults living at home and I can't get shit clean. It's horrible. I can't even get them to put their dishes in the dishwasher. Ugh. The only room in the house that I can stand to be in is my bedroom.

LoL I am totally the same way with not keeping things tidy :x Like I'll clean and clean and gets things put away and then it just explodes... again in a week or two. I seriously NEED to try to keep it clean for once :x

We should make a deal with each other. Like whoever's room becomes horrid again they owe the other person something :p

I'm pretty bad for it lately because I'm not home often enough to be irritates by the meas. i go through phases where I have to keep everything clean all the time, and then I just don't care for a while.
