I extra refuse to believe that Sam wouldn't be able to get out of the ropes. Yes, especially when it looked so EASY to get out of. The girl only had to cut once (one line) I believe and that was it. He could have probably just broken the rope by pulling his arms apart.
Someone should lock those two in a room together where they have nothing to do but TALK or fuck. Seriously.
