The "Slash Fiction" is also a play off of "Pulp Fiction"= the diner scene and Dean and Sam them being Hunny Bunny and Pumpkin.
I guess I see Bobby as a more "high functioning drunk" i.e., he drinks all the time, but can still get shit done--until he isn't needed anymore for a job then he gets all maudlin and wasted and "blackout drunk"
