Uhm, huh. I suppose the very short review would be: Well, that was shit.
And the slightly longer one: Are you fucking serious? THAT was your season finale? That was going to be your SERIES finale? The fuck is wrong with you?
So, yeah. Didn't care for them at all.
Maybe if I liked Lisa and/or Ben, I would have cared about them being kidnapped and then been moved by Dean having their memories erased but I couldn't care less. Could. Not.
Though, I did enjoy Possessed!Lisa. She was fun.
And so, Lisa and Ben don't remember Dean. They don't remember that monsters are REAL, YO! But uhm, won't the DEMONS remember that Lisa and Ben know Dean?
As much as I am glad that they'll be gone, I kind of want an episode next season with a demon bursting into Lisa's.
Demon: Tell me where he is!!!
Lisa: Ahhhhhh. Where who is?
Demon: Dean.
Lisa: [crying. scared] I don't know anyone named Dean.
Demon: Dean Winchester.
Lisa: I told you, I DON'T KNOW anyone with that name.
Demon: Dean Winchester, he's a hunter ... Got a brother named Sam. He's about yay high?
Lisa: ....
Demon: None of this is ringing a bell for you?
Lisa: [shakes her head no]
Demon: Oh, well. Sorry to have bothered you, ma'am.

I liked the second part a slight bit more but only because there was mulitple Sams.
All right, I thought this second episode was supposed to be about Sam's wall breaking and him remembering HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.
But I should have realized that since it seemed like it was meant to be about Sam that it wouldn't really be. Because it's Sam and fandom hates Sam. Sure, he was in it quite a bit but it wasn't really about him.
I also don't like that he didn't remmeber hell. Or, I don't think he remembered hell. Maybe his actual hell was him being soulless for a bit? And his apparently ONE really bad thing was that he shot a girl? Oooh. Sam, is so evil.
(Remember a few seasons ago, when Dean shot those possessed people and said, 'Hey, there might have been real live people in there and I don't care? And fandom was probably all, 'Dean. You're so badass, let me have your babies!)
Yeah. Good times.
Sam shooting a girl? I don't think that's all that bad. She probably would have ended up hooked on heroin or possessed. :P
Oh! And the burning. THE BURNING IT BURNS!!!! Now, I'm sure that might be painful but I don't consider that remembering HELL either because you know who else remembers BURNING!! OH GOD IT BURNS!!!? ... BURN VICTIMS.
I think the more I write this review, the angrier I get.
And now Castiel is God 2.0. Which is laughable.
* * *
I read in someone's journal that basically they felt that the whole Evil!God!Castiel thing came out of nowwhere and I'm sure similar thoughts are in other journals.
And because people don't like negativity in their journals, I'll post my thoughts about that here.
No, it didn't.
Castiel has been a dickydouchebag playing them since the beginning.
I know that my theory of Castiel and Ruby as lovers is probably NOT going to come true but I do honestly believe that they were both playing the Winchesters. FOR SERIOUS YO.
Ruby wanted the seal broken because ... that was the only way Lucifer could get out? I don't even know! Was he trapped like the Master? Any which way, she wanted to be his right hand man.
And without Castiel Ruby wouldn't have gotten to where she did and she was the bad mean horrible demon that needed killing? Pfft.
I still haven't figured out why Castiel wanted the seals broken and the Apocalypse started. And he did want it started. HE was the one who pulled Dean out of Hell AFTER Dean had broken the first seal. And HE was the one who let Sam out so he could break the last one.
Someone please explain to me why he wanted the Apocalpyse started? Was it for more souls?

I hate these kind of storylines. Did Lisa or Ben even ask Dean to violate their minds like that? Ugh. And it's such a cheap way out of a storyline.
Castiel has been a dickydouchebag playing them since the beginning.
That makes perfect sense.
I just wish the show would get out the cycle of Apocalpyse/Lucifer/Angels/God etc.

Fandom's hated Sam since pretty much the beginning. So though the entire freaking episode should've been about
Humpty DumptySam putting his soulful self back together again and then suffering like hell because he remembers HELL...we have one moment of Sam being burninated. Ooooooooooo.....(no subject)

Date: 2011-05-21 08:34 pm (UTC)Well, if the people running the show actually used their brains once in a while, they'd come right out and say that Castiel was planning for this from the very beginning. They'd say that Castiel pulled the plug on God after a particularly epic Skeeball match, and he's been working up to all of this for years. Eons, perhaps.
But...then the people running the show don't actually use their brains very much.

Date: 2011-05-21 09:12 pm (UTC)this is what happens when a show that was supposed to be five seasons gets financed for seasons six and seven..
I kind of like your theory about Castiel underhandedly helping Ruby because he wanted to be the new god..
on the other hand, how do they kill the new god? do they just get him to blow himself up? *SIGH*

FAVOURITE. Ahahahaha. Possessed!Lisa was fun. Need more of her please.
The godawful special effects were back for flashbacks of Sam's time "burning" in hell. LAME-O.
Also, I love your reviews best.

Date: 2011-05-22 03:23 am (UTC)I agree with your Lisa/Ben angle and yes, she does make an awesome demon. She was one nasty wench and it was a beautiful thing to watch. I love Crowley but Cas has been on my uh uh list since he was sneaky and let Sam outta Bobby's room. And called him an abomination. And refused to shake his hand when first meeting. I don't like the double standards show has.
Moreso, show makes a habit of killing black people and women. So to say I was waving at the screen like an idiot (run, lady, now!) when Raphael was being all 'oh noes, Cas is trickery'...because that being a twofer. Never stood a chance.

And then I wanted to punch Sera because this is her idea of an oooh exciting cliff-hanger! Really? THE LORD? BOOOOOO. I want my money back
I thought it was kind of hilarious/ironic that Sam unknowingly stabbed ~God~ considering everyone wanted him to be all Lucifer.
That demon & Lisa convo! BAHAHAHAH! I imagine it very cartoony.
oh, I liked the multiple-Sam. I really think it was one of his best performances.
