Well, MOST parents, I assume. It's TV land, where parents love their kids, LOL. If we were talking the real world - I know certain parents who would choose their spouses over their kids. But in SPN land...well. Actually, IDK that John would choose the kids over Mary, would he? Did we ever have an instance where he had to make that choice (other than the obvious, where he sacrificed a normal existence for his kids in order to avenge his wife)?
Dean should tell Castiel that though they have a special bond together that his bond with Sam is even more special.
Yeah, that would be really nice, at some point, for Dean to mention that no matter what shitstorm they have to wade through, Sam is and always will be his number one priority.
Sam and Castiel's fight seemed out of the blue and didn't make a lot of sense.
I want to get at least ONE episode where they do some flashing back to Sam's year alone. Maybe somewhere in that year Castiel DID approach Sam (and didn't mention it to Dean...maybe) and they had some epic fight that will explain the odd tension. Holy crap, what I wouldn't give for flashbacks to Sam being deliciously badass and smirky and bloody and Mystery-Spot-ish.
If Sam did drain the demon(s) ... and they didn't show that I'm going to be very upset. Or just a little upset.
Ok. Remember the ropes? I forget which episode, cuz after season 3 I forgot to remember the names of episodes, lol. Sam was tied down after Castiel felt up his insides, and he just...got free? Was that a "powers" thing, or is he just a super-boy scout now and knows how to loosen knots? I'm HOPING it was a powers thing and that he's still doing the blood thing and...IDK. They'll show it. One day.
