I really enjoyed the ep, more than 6.1. :-) I think Dean holding Bobby-John (heh) out and away from him was more about checking for wet spots and to keep him from being dribbled on. ;-) I adored Sam's "make it stop!" and waving at the baby.
Totally missed an opportunity for Dean to point out that he used to take care of Baby!Sam. *deducts point from otherwise fine ep*
I agree, Dean's always been in love with the "idea" of Lisa and Ben, not her specifically, but genuinely cares about and for her and Ben. Someone else mentioned it's a lot like Army wives, where a spouse is gone for weeks/months at a time. And while I think Lisa loves Dean, and appreciates what kind of good guy he has been to her and Ben, she's not *in love* either. I liked how they teased each other, too. "Bet your ex is lookin' pretty good now..." Ha!
