I just want the goddamn amulet back in SOME form. I call bullshit on it being gone forever and I am still convinced (until proven otherwise) that Sam would've fished it out of that damn trashcan.

But, yes, your version works. This version felt a little like a rip of the coda to the Constantine movie.

I've read quite a few "should've been this..." journals.
Yours is the first that I really wish had happened.

I agree with most fans--Sam woulda fished that necklace out the moment Dean's back was turned. So... it would stand to reason that it would be with him. Hell, Dean was what gave him back control over Lucifer; why not give him a way out?
