Ahhhhh. This one was satisfying. The ending, especially, for reasons you stated, as well as Castiel beating up Dean. Not just that he beat Dean up but also that he asserted himself like that and reminded Dean (and by proxy the other characters) that he's not just their errand boy and that joining their side meant a lot of sacrifice on his part.
I think Bobby could stand to get in a few punched on everybody, too.
Next week probably is filler. I guess the writers needed to come up for air after this last little drama or maybe they just want to use a standard MotW episode to exercise the newly reunited SamnDean dynamic. *shrug* There's, what, 4 episodes left in the season? Maybe they only had story arc for 3 and they needed to put the filler next week so the 100th could be special.
