It seemed to me that a lot of Dean's memories/Heaven were, "La la, hi MOM. I WUV YOU and sandwiches!" And they made Sam sad and uncomfortable but tough titties for Sam because Dean was going to roll around in his memories/Heaven.
Sam's memories/Heaven seemed to be mostly, "Yee haw. I are on my own now, bitches. And I gots me a dog." And these made Dean upset and angry and so fuck that noise we are leaving NOW!
Yes! That's exactly how most of fandom is going to see it, too. Who cares about Sam? Who cares that Sam never had an instant of normalcy and safety until he got away? Who cares that, despite losing Dean countless times, Sam still manages to TRY and be optimistic. Who cares? Cuz Dean and Castiel are in PAIN. EPIC PAIN. (I can't lie, though; Castiel finally evoked some emotion from me.)
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaash made me happier than he did when he was actually on the show. I forgot how much I loved Ash. :D
