OMG THANK YOU. Just the in-general feeling I always get from fandom that Dean is right and Sam is just a fuck-up has been driving me crazy, and Show just reinforces it. Sam's happy memories were what they were because, like he said, he didn't get the sandwiches and the loving mother, he got the militan father and good-soldier older brother and he has PROVEN that he loves Dean and wants him AND ISN'T LEAVING HIM ANYMORE but Dean just keeps ignoring all that and clinging to his angst.
GET A CLUE, DEAN, YOU HAVE TO LET IT GO -- that's why you're losing hope. And yeah, I think we see why Sam will say yes now. Because Dean is just driving him further and further away and closer to that point.
