But what did change was that Earth then had a fully charged ZPM in their possession, allowing Atlantis to be rescued, and Daniel has a tape explaining the entire Stargate history and program without the trouble of actually filming it. All totally cool stuff. Plus, how amusing were the dorky Sam and Daniel? haha
