greasemonkey customizes the way various webpages display using scipts oldbar gets rid of the awesom bar, if you are of the camp that finds it highly irritating and ineffective download statusbar redirects downloads to a bar at the bottom of your browser rather than the pop-up window screengrab saves webpages as images, either as a file or to the clipboard, with options for capturing the entire page, the visible portion of the screen, a selection of the screen, or the window tineye search for images via right-click menu in broswer (opens in new tab so you don't have to interrupt browsing on current page) adblock plus invaluable blocker of ads and banners that slow down loading times
i don't find that any of these add ons slow my browser down, personally.
