I guess I can pretend to be glad that Castiel opening the cage door was just to test Sam and now he's all disappointed that Sam failed. Instead of, perhaps being told (ordered) to open the door so that Sam could kill Lilith because it was all part of the master plan. Which doesn't seem like much of a master plan or a plan at all really anymore since Damien is involved now and he's so powerful that when the angels and demons line up to do their West Side Story dance off he can just say, 'Hey, knock it off.'

And fade to black. End of story.

Tom Welling is really fucking pretty. Seriously.

Sam/Jared needs to do something with his hair. Also, Sam is looking very weathered lately.

This show. This fucking show. I wish I understood it.

Castiel as an Action Figure was the best Castiel I've ever seen. Well, almost. No Castiel is still the best Castiel. I'd like to know who made that and then ask them why they're not making the Dean and Sam busts / action figure things that are actually being sold for fans because Castiel as an Action Figure actually looked like Castiel.

But seriously, if Damien (yeah, I don't care that they called him Jesse) can say, 'Get out of her.' and the demon just up and leaves ... what's the point of anything else? Yes, he left to go surfing but is he going to be the troll hammer that comes in handy at the last minute when Doc is making shallow cuts on Sam's belleh?

Ugh.

The writers are winging it at this point. They have to be: otherwise we'd be getting some solid writing like we did in season TWO.

I guess I can pretend to, but I don't know why I didn't buy that line of 'testing you' BS I don't know, I may need to give it a rewatch but that yeah didn't buy it. IDK WHY.

You know, I said to my Mom 'I'd like it better if he stayed that way' (re action figure) it was almost kind of nice. Although I did LMAO at Dean making that weird ass face and my parents just did not get it.

And you know kid is going to be a rehash of S1 Sam because he too ran away from the family business. Damn it, now I want AU where they go traveling with the Antichrist in the Impala. MY BRAIN. My Mom said this one and now I can't not not think it btw.

Also this reminded me of 'Good Omens' a bit. Hmm.

Not in so many words but when Sam was all, 'We tell him the truth and see if he makes the right choice.' Castiel was all, 'You didn't make the right choice, neener neener neener.' And Sam was all, '*twitch twitch twitch* and Castiel was all, '*dead/blank stare*

Castiel: I opened the door to test you, Sam and YOU FAILED YOU BIG FAT FAIL BOAT.
Sam: *inner crying* No one told me it was a TEST. I thought that's what YOU WANTED.

I honestly don't think that Castiel was testing Sam, hence my pretending. I think Castiel both wanted to and was ordered to open the door because he's in all this crap.

I don't remember Good Omens that well but others (or at least one other person have/has mentioned that this reminded them of it.

I haven't watched a single episode yet, and that totally seems like a bullshit cover up to make Castiel ~*~Fabulous~*~ to everyone again. Whatever, Show. I dunno, it's not like I have my facts straight anymore. for shameeeeeee.

I'm in agreement with you then. *nod* I do think he wanted to and was ordered to open it by Zachariah but now I just think he wanted to because of his humanistic tendencies towards Dean (eg. starting to fall from grace) and some other things and whatnot. But during that scene I was pissed off.

Did we get new writers for this ep? If so I'd bet one of them is a Gaimian fan.

Ahahaha I am not going to lie that when I saw Castiel as that little action figure, I was soooooo hoping that Sam would at least to attempt to step on it and squash it and maybe Dean holding him back. Because I was pissed at the fact that he did his disappearing act after pissing Sam off like that, kind of like he pussed out and couldn't handle the heat after a jab. RAWR.

Also, I really wanted to see Sam, Dean, and Jesse in the Impala and Jesse becoming an adopted Winchester. Am disappointed this didn't happen. >:[ SAM AND DEAN ALMOST HAD A KID!

Icons of the Winchesters with the caption, "Plot Bad, Boys Pretty" on them. Cuz I really REALLY need to adopt this mantra when I watch this show now. Since the actual story makes no fucking sense anymore and that's no bullshit what drew me into the series when I started watching it back in the day* ... a million years ago - the STORY.

I'm grasping at straws when I write reviews these days and desperately trying to enjoy ANYTHING about this retconned mess. Which is why I went along for the ride where The Scarlet Witch the Anti-Christ was concerned. At least it allowed Sam to be integral to the fucking episode.

The best Supernatural viewings for me these days are the ones in which I focus least on what the flip-doodle is going on. You can't stare it directly in the eye, lest you go mad.

I love how Castiel always gets to come out smelling like roses despite being duplicitous and weak-willed at every turn in S4. Oh fandom, your blinders are epic.
