I really, really wanted Dean to tell Sam that part of the reason he wouldn't talk about Hell was because he didn't want to give Sammy nightmares too.

and that he seemed to be so... annoyed with Sam for caring.
Mmhmm. It'd be a good time for Dracula to swoop him and coldcock him.
And I want to see what SAM is thinking, dammit.
Yeah, that really is wishful thinking because we're not allowed to know anything about Sam and his thoughts or feelings.
