As proud as I am of the country as a whole, I have to say that I'm incredibly disappointed in my state for voting yes on proposition 8. I was hoping that common sense and human decency would prevail over the scare tactics and outright lies that were being spread for that horrible campaign, but apparently not. So sad.

Oh man, Jesse Jackson made me weepy about 3 or 4 times. I'm so proud of my country, and yet, I'll never really be able to understand what it really means for so many people in America. But just... just seeing the overwhelming response to Obama's win?

I'm really very proud of my country right now.
