You know, the mere implication that they are, which the show is going to great lengths to put out there (her bra in his room, that demon suggesting it in this one), made me throw up my hands and very nearly give up on Sam as a character completely. He is hanging on by the SKIN OF HIS TEETH in my book. I mean, when Dean punched the shit out of him, I was CHEERING. Like, knock some sense into him! (The second punch had me laughing with glee. And THAT'S for being a WHORE.)
The thing is, I used to LOVE Sam. LOVE LOVE LOVE. WAY more than Dean. Because I like the GOOD GUYS. But this entire arc with Dean getting back and, as your quote hints at, Sam doesn't really care? ugh. Careful careful careful, Supernatural. If they make him too much of a shithead, there's no coming back from THAT either.
