Yesterday I was thisclose to filling out two different friending memes until I remembered that I don't even really know like half of my flist already. I'll see a post by a few someones and think, 'Who are you?' And then I feel all bad and other sorts of words. And I think that I should defriend this person (a few people on my flist have recently defriended a large amount of people and I admire that) because hey, they've been here for who knows how long and I still don't recognize them but I don't because what if they're amazing and have great insight and change my life with their next post?

... There was no point to this. I don't think there was a point to this. But hey, if you're skimming this and thinking, 'Who who the hell are you?' you can defriend me. Seriously.

I think I've only done one friending meme, right at the beginning. I dunno, man. I'm trying to pare down my flist. How the hell people deal with hundreds of flisters is beyond me, because I'm ALWAYS behind on shit. And then there's guilt. Don't you feel the guilt? lol.

I often think 'who are you' as well, but I've figured out that's because half my comments come from people who are not on my flist. I seem to have an alarmingly high number of lurkers that don't even have me friended. It's very curious. Then there are the lurkers that do have me friended, but they never say anything.

I do agree with you on the whole but what if they change my life with their next post thing. *g* I keep kicking people off my reading filter only to take them back like five seconds later. I am fickle.

Well, yes, they might, but I don't think you should feel guilty if you want to defriend people. I'm pretty sure you sort of know me, but I wouldn't slit my wrists if you decided to defriend me. I'd just... sit in a corner and cry.

I'm in awe of people with large flists. I start getting twitchy when I get over 75-80 people friended. Which means I probably miss a lot of cool info, but... *shrug*

I tend to recognize people by their icons, which is really not a good tell because they change ALL THE TIME. I mean, mine change pretty much monthly-ish so I guess I'm most recognized by the icon I'm using right here...

And you? How can I defriend you? You make the most awesome icons and random manips evar, not to mention all the SANDYLOVE you pour out in eljayland. Also, it's kind of hard to forget a name like smidgy. <3

*shrugs* I guess the way I do it is to trim out people I don't know every six months or so. There's very few people on my flist I'm not good friends with these days. It's nicer that way.

But then I keep my flist below a hundred most of the time. So it's easier to make that effort.

No need to feel guilty about defriending though.
