Do you know what your name would have been had you been born the opposite sex? Mine was going to be Christopher Michael.

What about what you were almost named? I was almost Crystal. I'm really glad my mom changed her mind on that one. And then at one point she was going to name me Jericho (as a girl) ... at least I'm fairly sure it was that name. That might've been kinda cool.

Yep, that's the one.

Also, in a Queen song. 'Meanwhile, I ask you to be my Clementine'.

My parents planned on naming me Peter because they thought for a long time that I was a boy. This was back when ultrasound were around, but were only used for high-risk pregnancies, so my mom never had one done on me.

When she went into labor with me, though, she just knew all of a sudden that I was a girl, and my first and middle names just came to her.

An alternate girl name was Nadia Therese, which I used to think (when I was younger) would be awful, but now I'm warming up to it.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing that my name fits me? The majority of the Michelle's I've met in my life have all been ... well, I really did not like them at all.

Wow, for your sake I'm kind of glad you were not named Emerald Ann. Unless, you uh really like that name and then I don't know how to reply to that. :/

Tell them they should just make something up, how are you going to know the difference, right? :p

I would've been either Anthony or Jared and the one other girl's name my mom was considering was Justine.

If I was a boy, I'd have been John Joseph. My little brother got the name instead ;) And my parents never mentioned anything about what I was almost named...maybe Jennifer May was their first choice. I know May for the middle name was, because their wedding anniversary is in May (hence May, not Mae)

Maybe they could've had your middle name after the other set?

Charlene, Fiona, Karenza, Tamzin or Giselle

My mum really wanted Karenza Giselle, or if I was a boy it would have been Kiran Gregory. But mum really didn't like the fact that my initials would have been KGB.

Instead I was named Selena Jane Dorothy (middle names are from my Grandmothers)

Hmm I don't even know if my parents ever really discussed a boy name for either me or my sisters--I think they waited until they knew the sex of the baby before picking names.

Anyway, thanks to my dad saying oh hell no, I was NOT named Monica Veronica.

Man. I would've been one of those evil cheerleader girls in high school if that was my name.

And thanks to me and my sister K, we convinced our mom NOT to name our youngest sister Angelica--this was during the height of Rugrats on Nickelodeon and man, my sister Johnny would've gotten reamed with a name like that.

Ryan Adly.

They were like, 100% sure I was going to be a boy (they didn't ask when they had the sonograms) so that was what they'd settled on. I don't think they had any other names picked out in case I was a girl! Just Carina Adly.

I know you feel, I think it could be a good thing - but then again I'm not even sure myself *face palm* But Jericho could've been neat though.

I've not liked it for a long time (Emerald Ann) - as it is I hate the name I have now mostly because my real Mom picked it and . . . uh I don't remember her and I'm not too fond of her from what I've been told. Plus I think, if I had been a boy the woman might've named me after my little brother whose named Joseph Herbert.

It makes me cringe.

If my bro an' I were both boys, then I would've been Alexander. If we were both girls then I would've been Savannah. If I had been born on Halloween instead of Nov. 2 then my nickname woulda been Spooky.

I would've loved being Samantha even. I coulda gone by Sam and been much happier. *was a little tomboy* I named my son Jacob.

There were 150 of us. Big enough for where I grew up.

Yesh.

I don't know if they had any other names planned for me. *g* Also, that's why I had a hard time getting used to Jensen's name because I hate the name Jens and I've never met anyone I could stand with that name. *lol*

My name would've been the name my brother ended up getting-- Noah Joseph. My mom and dad had wanted to call me Whitney, but my grandfather said no because it was too black. :P

Do you just have the one grandmother? Or was the other one not upset that you weren't named after her?

My parents were clearly very boring. I would have been David if I'd been a boy, and the other option for a girl would have been Julie.
