Yeah, I don't really get the "De" thing, either. Some people just feel the need to fucking abbreviate everything, don't they? Is it really that hard to type the rest of the name, or to say the "n"? I mean, really. I have a vagina and I wouldn't say "De." Every time I see it in a fic now it just makes me think that that fic's version of Sam is an immature, whiny-ass little piss-head.
