I've seen "De" in a couple of stories of late, and started wondering if I'd missed something, somewhere. A memo, or whatever. Then I decided it didn't matter; I don't like it (I have Issues with nicknames anyway, unless they're canon), I'm not going to use it, and if I run into it again, it's not likely to be an author I enjoy reading anyway. Heh.
