drabbles and conventions

There is a prompt drabble challenge extravganza going on over at teenwolf_slash here.

And so far I've written a couple silly Derek/Stiles drabbles or well, a drabble and a fictional conversation.

I feel good about this because a) I've been wanting to write something for awhile now (and when I say "write" I mean my silly little things that I write and not like an epic story) and b) people are replying which for me is almost always surprising and lovely

I miss the days when there was a convention and my flist would be FLOODED with pictures of Jared and Jensen. There was a convention this weekend and my flist is DRY! Or, some expression of words that implies that there are no new pictures of Jared and Jensen. Jesus Christ, people!

*over dramatic cry*

I still really enjoy looking at Jared and Jensen.

Are people not going to Conventions? Not taking pictures? Not sharing them?

I don't understand!

I did not know that you wrote drabble/fic. Off to check now, or rather say first, I check wanky nonnie sites regularly and they are dry as well. This is disconcerting and does not help, at all, in my love of the pretty boys. Boo and hiss.

Every now and then I write. Just little drabble type things, I think I'm incapable of writing an actual fiction.

I'm watching the comm. (I should join, need to catch a few more episodes before I write) and I'm in fanfic love with some of the things I've read. Drabble is fiction, that stuff is difficult to write, I've tried. Just go by all the comments many authors make when they say they can't write anything under 3,000 - it's insane.

Exactly, come on people...pretty men are needed on my screen. Vicarious living, thank you, muah.

You should join and then you should start posting all the Derek/Stiles fiction. Okay, I suppose you should write whatever pairing you'd like. :p

And I think it's difficult to write anything over ... let's say 500 words without it turning into, "And then..."

I see most of the convention pics via my tumblr dash now. And really, conventions just don't hold the same novelty they did before, I guess? I still love Jared and Jensen to bits and they are still adorable and hilarious and generally I watch the clips and things (after my dash has given me glimpses) but I really think the OMG CONVENTION!!1!! thing just has kind of worn off of Livejournal. At least in the circles I'm in.

*whines more* But I don't like going to tumblr there are way too many spoilers over there and most of the pictures have been photoshopped (which is great) but I'd like to use them for the J2 comm and well, I like to do my own photoshopping.
