Yea, I backtracked this to the whole "Respect" campaign. But why does the user feel like it's needed?
It's a RPS kinda thing? Or because we say they are so in love? Or because we think Jensen would still be the hottest even fat? I don't know!!!
She says that with her professional background she came up with this idea, that it's what she does, to come up with viable ideas that have a chance to get results.
I hope she has a second job, though, cause I'm not joining a campaign if I'm not totally informed wtf she intends.
I have a great many things to say about this, but I'm waiting until I get off work to say them. Mostly about how I'm a Bad Fan™ and I LIKE IT THAT WAY.
Apparently a lot of it is directed towards me and some others because maybe we say things that aren't "Jensen is the most perfect human in the history of ever."
Sneetches Fangirls are a race of odd, rabid creatures who live on a beach the internet. Some Sneetches Fangirls have a star an icon on their belly and the presence or absence of a star an icons is the basis for discrimination. Sneetches Fangirls who have a star an icon are part of the "in crowd", while Sneetches Fangirls without a star an icon are shunned and consequently mopey.
This "Respect Campaign" is going to become a wank in .5 milliseconds if people with "the" icon start getting high and mighty over those who choose not to use it.
Hey, did you know kids these days have Yossi&Jagger vids on this new fangled thing called youtube? I feel like a fandom oldtimer.
ALSO?? For really really funny oldtime sake? On the canucks.com board there was a 10 page thread about how Bertuzzi let up on Naslund's goal 'cause he didn't want to "hurt his friend". Ahahahahahaha. and hearts.
Ah, okay that makes sense! I just kept seeing the icons, and not where they were originating from. So are you guys going against that or something...? I swear, I'm so confused by everything in fandom right now. I keep feeling like I'm missing something important.
